Real Talk: Community Over Competition

Updated: Mar 2, 2022

Now more than ever, it’s of the utmost importance in life to rely on relationships, build trust, and come together.

Generally speaking, our blog tends to be more light hearted, but after the most recent events in our country, we felt the need to be authentic and spread what we know best - Love.

This year has been challenging...challenging for individuals, for couples, for families, for businesses and for all relationships.

Building and maintaining relationships happens in every aspect of life. We at Kaleidoscope, firmly believe that community is key. “Community over Competition” is one of our core pillars as a company.

It’s more than a saying, it’s a movement that’s growing! The conversation should go something like this...

“We work in the same industry?” Cool!

“Wow friend, you’re good!”

You follow me, I follow you.”

OR

“You invite me to a trendy webinar and I’ll invite you to ones”

OR

“I just got an inquiry, aww man.. looks like I’m booked.” Guess where I’m sending them!

OR 100 million other (supportive) ways to genuinely encourage one another.

See how easy! There will always be competition, but never “direct competition” because you are YOU!

Authenticity goes a long way! How many connections have you made that LAST just by being your authentic self? Always remember, “today you are you, that is truer than true. Today there is no one alive, that is you-er than you.”

When we are able to come together, we learn, we grow, and we soar. We all struggle with our own insecurities. “Am I good enough?,” “Does this look ok?,” “Did I do well?,” “Am I worthy?” This is where your community comes in. Who are your people? They will show up. Showing up matters and it’s one of the things people remember most!

As an industry that heavily relies on people, relationships, flexibility, and love...we need more of it all! If last year taught us anything, it’s that we can rise above it all.

Being the resilient community that we are, we can adapt and evolve to become whatever we need to be in order to succeed in all aspects of life.

There is no room in business, let alone life, for “competition”. Supporting and learning from each other is more important now than ever before. We’ve gotten the opportunity to pause and grow, while not forgetting the grief we’ve all dealt with. Learning from each other, coming together and getting through as we rise above the trials of the last year. As we continue to encounter uncharted territories, we will continue to learn, bend, grow, adapt, evolve and support.

As Rebecca Rinaldi would say, “Find your tribe, love them hard.” XOXO,

The KE Team
